The SuperTrickler is a high-precision automated powder dispensing system designed for precision ammunition reloading. It combines speed, accuracy, and intelligent control to automatically dispense consistent powder charges, helping reloaders achieve reliable and repeatable results.

The main difference between the A&D FX and FZ series is the calibration method.

The FZ series features internal calibration, allowing the balance to calibrate itself using a built-in calibration weight.

The FX series requires external calibration using a separate calibration weight.

When purchasing an A&D FX balance from us, a 100 g calibration weight is included, allowing you to calibrate the balance correctly without purchasing an additional weight.

Apart from the calibration method, there is no difference relevant to normal operation with the SuperTrickler.

The SuperTrickler is designed for use with approved A&D precision balances. Please check the latest list of compatible models in our documentation before purchasing.

Update June 2026: The SuperTrickler now includes a feature that automatically detects whether your balance needs to be programmed.Programming your balance is now much easier:

1. Click Program.
2. Press and hold the Sample button on the balance for 2 seconds.
3. Click Done.
4. The SuperTrickler will now begin programming the balance automatically.
5. Wait until the process is complete and the screen confirms that programming has finished.
6. Once programming is complete, unplug the power cable from your SuperTrickler and plug it back in.
7. The normal startup screen will appear, and your SuperTrickler is ready to use.

First, ensure your firmware is up to date and verify all balance/scale settings. If the issue persists, contact our support team for assistance.

The SuperTrickler requires minimal maintenance. To ensure reliable and consistent performance, keep the unit clean and free from powder residue, and always store it in a clean, dry environment.

Always empty all powder from the SuperTrickler after use.

If the Bulk Tube begins to perform poorly or inconsistently, we recommend cleaning it as follows:

1. Navigate to: Menu → Sub Menu → Tools → Motors → Change Bulk Tube → Remove Tube
2. Remove the Bulk Tube.
3. Clean the tube thoroughly using IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol).
4. Using a cotton swab lightly moistened with IPA, gently clean the opening where the Bulk Tube is installed inside the SuperTrickler.
5. Allow all cleaned parts to dry completely.
6. Reinstall the Bulk Tube by gently pressing it into position until you feel resistance.
7. Select Install Tube to complete the procedure.

This cleaning procedure removes powder dust and residue that can accumulate over time and affect the performance of the Bulk Tube.

Balance/Scale Calibration

We also recommend calibrating your balance regularly to maintain accurate and consistent measurements.

The balance/scale should always be recalibrated after it has been moved and whenever there are significant changes in environmental conditions, particularly temperature.
